TouchHair

TouchHair Commercial

TouchHair is a device for social interaction. With the presumption that there are people within the Cambridge, MA region that are from the international community or other homogeneous environments, Touch Hair gives them the opportunity to engage with Afro-diasporan hair – locs in particular – in a controlled way. The project is a critique of society’s pervasive manifestations of otherness and an opportunity to engage in discussions around marginalization and the superficiality of difference. This forum for larger discussion is to be taken to the streets by way of a tongue-in-cheek promotional ad that can be accessed online via a QR code and links on stickers placed around the city.
